Robert J. Murphy, Jr., Esq.
Bob Murphy has been a practicing lawyer since 1974. He received his law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School and earned an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University.
Bob’s legal experience includes an associate position with a well-known Philadelphia law firm, serving as vice president for the commercial real estate law group with a life insurance company, and senior vice president/general counsel of a financial services company.
In addition to his legal career, Bob has been elected to the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations, and has served in key leadership roles, notably board chairman of the United Way of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Center for Autism, Wheels, Inc. and the United Way of Pennsylvania.
Beyond the nonprofit boardroom and legal profession, Bob is an accomplished triathlete and long-time spinning instructor.
Bob is co-founder, majority owner and president of Assigned Counsel.
Joel Adams
Joel Adams is a co-founder of ASSIGNED COUNSEL Incorporated. He currently serves on the board of directors and as an advisor to President.
Joel founded Devon Consulting in 1982 and was the CEO of this IT staffing company until 2010. He was a long time Board Member of the industry association for IT staffing firms serving in several officer positions including President.
He was a board member and President, Chester County Disability Services (Cerebral Palsy Association of Chester County). He served for four years on the Phoenixville School Board. Joel received a BA in Economics from Wesleyan University in 1970 and a MBA from Boston University in 1974.
Susan Bodalski
Susan Bodalski attended St. Joseph’s University, and has been with Assigned Counsel since 1993. As manager of finance, her responsibilities include overseeing all of Assigned Counsel’s accounting procedures. She has more than five years of experience as a paralegal, having worked with several major defense litigation firms in the Philadelphia area. Sue has served as a board member for the Chester County National Alliance on Mental Illness, where she advocated for mental illness issues.
Cheri Holdan
Cheri joined Assigned Counsel in 1997, where she manages the administrative functions of the legal staffing firm, Assigned Counsel. In her capacity as administrative manager, she hires administrative personnel, coordinates marketing initiatives, develops client contracts and maintains our client and candidate databases. She also consistently interacts with our regional offices to be sure their administrative needs are met. Prior to joining Assigned Counsel, Cheri worked for a nationally-known credit provider as a financial lender.
Mary E. Duff, CPA
Mary Duff is founder and president of Duff Accounting Solutions LLC, a financial services firm dedicated to providing small and mid-size businesses with the level and professionalism normally available only to large corporations. Mary has provided controller services to Assigned Counsel since 2003.
Before entering public accounting, Mary worked for Shared Medical Systems in their accounts receivable and billing departments. In 1990, she joined Irwin & Company, a Radnor CPA firm that later became Beucler, Kelly & Irwin, Ltd. Mary has been involved in compilation, review and tax engagements for closely-held businesses for more than 10 years. In 1999, she was named president of BKI Solutions, Inc. predecessor to Duff Accounting Solutions LLC.
Mary is a certified professional advisor for QuickBooks. She is the national director of the American Society of Women Accountants and is past president of the Philadelphia Chapter.
Mary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Scranton.
