Metropolitan Washington was the first extension office of Assigned Counsel, opened in 1995.  Since that time, the office has gained recognition as an anchor location for serving not only law firm and corporate in-house clients but also numerous federal agencies.

Dominique Amprey

Dominique Amprey has an outstanding track record of sales achievement as an account executive and recruiter for more than 10 years.

Dominique’s experience had been with several Fortune-recognized corporations in the telecommunications and cellular phone industries. Her entrepreneurial desires led her to establish and operate, for several years, a full-service recruiting company addressing the temporary and permanent IT needs of organizations in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. Dominique attended Kutztown University where she focused on mass communications, marketing and public relations.

Dominique joined Assigned Counsel in August 2004 as business development manager for Metropolitan Washington. She was promoted to senior business development manager in 2008.

Alisa Austin, Esq.

Alisa Austin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1984. She was in the top 10 percent of her class, and was a member of the Order of the Coif. She was also a research editor on the Georgia Law Review. Alisa has a BS in the administration of justice from American University, where she graduated magna cum laude. Alisa attended both schools on academic scholarships.

Upon law school graduation, Alisa entered the U.S. Department of Justice’s honor program and worked in the civil division. Thereafter, she practiced in the area of employment law with a large labor and employment law firm in Washington, DC. Alisa also authored employment law advisories for the Research Institute of America.

Since 1996, Alisa has been the senior recruiting attorney for the Washington, DC office of Assigned Counsel.
