Established in 1997, Assigned Counsel’s Northern New Jersey office serves the local legal community as well as acting as a “bridge” in recruiting for clients maintaining operations in the New Jersey – Pennsylvania corridor.

Nancy Abrams

Nancy Abrams earned her MBA at Baruch College and has an impressive track record of sales success.  Her career includes over 20 years in sales and business development working directly with law firms and corporations.

Nancy’s experience includes client branding, advertising and direct response, as well as the development of customized events and publications specifically created to increase client brand awareness and business development.  Nancy joined Assigned Counsel January of this year.

Suzanne Stahl Heyer, Esq.

Suzanne Stahl Heyer is a 1989 graduate of the Pace University School of Law, where she was a ranking scholar and on the Dean’s List. Suzanne also served as a casenotes and comments editor of the Pace Law Review. She received her undergraduate degree from Rutgers University.

Upon graduation from law school, Suzanne was an associate with a law firm in Morristown, New Jersey, where she practiced environmental litigation. In 1992, she joined the environmental department of a law firm in Roseland, New Jersey. In this position, in addition to environmental litigation, Suzanne handled environmental compliance and regulatory issues, due diligence matters and environmental insurance coverage disputes.

In June 1998, Suzanne joined Assigned Counsel as senior recruiting attorney and currently recruits for the New Jersey and New York offices.
