Our Hiring Process
Assigned Counsel’s recruiting attorney for each territory reviews resumes submitted for law school graduation date and number of years of professional experience. The recruiting attorney also reviews the applicant’s areas of expertise. The recruiting attorney then personally interviews the applicant. While we do not interview all of the attorneys who submit resumes, we make every effort to speak – at the earliest opportunity – with those whose placements are likely. Assigned Counsel also checks professional references to ensure that the applicant actually did the work indicated on the resume and verifies the applicant’s law school degree and state bar membership.
