ASSIGNED COUNSEL CODE OF ETHICS

Contract Attorney Service Code of Ethics

  • We will preserve in confidence all confidential information relating to the affairs of our clients which our clients furnish us to help us serve their legal staffing needs.
  • We will not misrepresent a candidate attorney's education, experience, skills or other qualifications, fee requirements or availability.
  • We do not engage in the unauthorized practice of law, nor do we hold out candidate attorneys to practice in any jurisdiction where they are not admitted to practice.
  • We do not recruit or attempt to recruit employees of clients.
  • We do not recruit or attempt to recruit contract attorneys for any project which begins before such attorneys' current contract projects are completed to the clients' satisfaction.
  • We do not solicit employment or engagement on behalf of attorneys, nor do we accept compensation from candidate or engaged attorneys regarding attorney searches that we conduct.
  • We do not submit information identifying a candidate attorney to our clients or prospective clients without the candidate's consent.
  • We believe in fair competition, and we do not disparage other contract attorney service firms.
  • We provide candidate attorneys accurate information regarding clients and projects for which they are candidates.
